TransWorld Motocross magazine announced today that it has hired Sandbox Marketing to produce the 1st Annual TransWorld Motocross Ride-for-Free Day on December 26th, 2001. TransWorld Motocross will rent out one of the premier motorcycle riding spots in Southern California for the event. The event will allow all motocross riders to come out to the Competition Park Motocross facility located in San Jacinto, CA and ride all day for FREE. Another key component of the event is that the public will also be invited out to learn how to ride a motorcycle with the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF). The MSF will be on site along with instructors, motorcycles and safety equipment for the first time enthusiast. The event will be open to all ages and will give new riders an opportunity to experience motocross first hand with a focus on safety.

For the more experienced set, TransWorld Motocross will open all five of the facility’s impressive motocross tracks for a riding bonanza. Riders who would normally pay an entrance fee, will have the fee waived by the magazine. “This is a great opportunity for us to give back to the motocross community” stated Brad McDonald, publisher of TransWorld Motocross. “Our goal is also to introduce new riders to motocross and give them a chance to see some of the manufacturers new products,” said McDonald. Adding to the excitement will be a Freestyle Motocross demonstration from X-Games Gold medallist Tommy Clowers and up and comer Jeff Tilton. Clowers and Tilton will be blasting the huge 15 feet tall launch ramps and performing insane tricks for the crowds on hand.

Many of the major manufacturers of motocross equipment will display their new items to the public. Many of the teams will have their sponsored athletes at the event to sign autographs, as well as participate in activities. The Road to Recovery Foundation will be on hand to raise money for injured motocross riders by auctioning various motocross items donated by some of the top motocross athletes. All who attend will also have the chance to do their part, by purchasing raffle tickets for a chance to win a brand new 250cc motorcycle. All proceeds will benefit the Ride to Recovery Foundation

The entire event will be capped off by a great giveaway where everyone on hand will have a chance to win some great equipment and some stylish apparel from some of the industry’s top manufacturers.
