Sandbox Marketing, LLC., Tustin, CA was contracted by Dial Corp. to activate on behalf of the Coast Body Wash brand as a sponsor of the Ultimate Boarder Competition and the Journeys Backyard BBQ. Sandbox was given the task of developing an on site activation for Coast Body Wash that would generate authentic impressions and express the brand’s messages and themes.

Beginning in Big Bear, CA for the first stop of the Ultimate Boarder Competition, Sandbox Marketing rolled out a custom designed booth area which included product sampling, video loops featuring Coast athletes Andy Macdonald and John John Florence, custom Coast branded longboard giveaways and a unique photo opportunity where consumers posed within a unique John John Florence cutout and had their photo taken. These photos were then emailed directly to the consumers who could view them instantly on web enabled phones or check them out after a day of riding at Big Bear.

Sandbox later went on to replicate the setup in Ventura, CA for the remaining stops of the Ultimate Boarder Competition as well as a total of five stops of the Journeys Backyard BBQ in Las Vegas, Orlando, Atlanta, Baltimore and Chicago throughout the Summer.
